Meet the dedicated individuals who make up the team at Elevated Properties. Locally owned and operated, Elevated Properties was founded on the importance of personal, customized service to guests and owners. As an owner, experience the peace of mind knowing your property is cared for by dedicated, onsite management. As a guest, elevate your Steamboat vacation by enjoying the true ski-in, ski-out accessibility at Bear Claw or Edgemont Condominiums, or the luxury of a private home conveniently located in town. From sales and guest service, to operations and housekeeping, below are the team members who make it all happen.

Jamie Daniels

Owner / President

Jamie and her husband, Jeff, first visited, and fell in love with Steamboat in 1994. Six years later, they were fortunate to be able to call Steamboat home. Raised in Ketchikan, Alaska, Jamie attended college in Pennsylvania. When Jamie started working at Bear Claw in 2000, she knew that she had found her passion. Since 2020, Jamie is honored to own Elevated Properties. She is excited to carry on the tradition of personalized, high end property management while elevating the services offered to both owners and guests. Jamie has a 19-year-old son, Tristan, and a 14-year-old daughter, Olivia, who have the joy of being born and raised in Steamboat — both were on skis before the age of two. In their free time, you will find the Daniels' family enjoying all that Steamboat offers and traveling – usually to somewhere with water! Favorite ski run: Morningside Park

Maggie Stepan

General Manager

Originally from St. Louis, Missouri, Maggie has called Steamboat Springs home since 2007. From her early days as a lift operator at the Steamboat Ski Area to later supporting reservations and eCommerce at Steamboat Central Reservations and Alterra Mountain Company, Maggie has built a career rooted in hospitality and connection. She joined the Elevated Properties team in March 2020 and continues to value the opportunity to work closely with homeowners and guests. Outside of work, you’ll find Maggie skiing during the winter months, while summers are filled with backpacking, outdoor concerts, and travel. At home, she loves spending time in the kitchen with her husband, Max — and usually there is something spicy on the menu! Maggie is thankful to be part of the exceptional team at Elevated Properties and takes great pride in helping create memorable experiences for everyone who enjoys time in Steamboat Springs. Blane Joyner

Controller & HR Manager

Blane’s formative years were in Texas where he graduated from Texas A&M University with a B.S. in Accounting and Finance. He moved to Steamboat in 2004 with a seasonal job working in the Finance department for American Ski Corporation and planned to stay for the winter. However, he was able to find a permanent position at Smartwool and ended up staying for 12 years. Blane then got married and spent a few years exploring the Pacific Northwest and decided to move back to Steamboat. In his free time, you can find Blane snowboarding, mountain biking or hanging out with his wife and little dog. Favorite Ski Run: Broadway

Dan Raphael

Director of Hospitality & Revenue

Dan settled into Steamboat after hiking the Appalachian and Pacific Crest Trails (where he went by the trail name “Baywatch”). Before being hired in 2019, he held sales roles in fashion eCommerce and real estate startups while living in Southeast Asia and IaaS hardware sales in Manhattan. Dan spent many years as a youth outdoor educator and is passionate about sharing his knowledge and love of the outdoors. He loves extremely long walks, traveling to new places, and fly fishing. If you need to track him down this summer, he's likely wandering Colorado's beautiful parks or enjoying the plentiful rivers around Steamboat with his lovely wife. Favorite ski run: Buscuits

Taylor McConnell

Sales & Marketing Coordinator

Taylor, a Colorado native, grew up just outside of Denver in Centennial. Before moving to Steamboat Springs in August 2018, she graduated from Colorado State University with a degree in Communications. Taylor and her husband, Robert, moved to Charleston, South Carolina in September 2021 but she continues to work remotely for the Elevated Properties team. In her free time, she enjoys a great happy hour, fly fishing, exploring local shops, and cheering on the Georgia Bulldogs. When Taylor is visiting Steamboat keep an eye out on the slopes, maybe you'll catch her cruising down her favorite run on a bluebird day! Favorite ski run: Tomahawk

Erin Kinney

Sales & Concierge Representative

Erin was born and raised in Michigan but promptly moved to attend the University of Colorado for a degree in Environmental Science. She then move on to spend time with her close extended family in the Roaring Fork Valley and use them as her home base to travel the world. Steamboat called to her 10 years ago to be with her now husband and use her degree supervising in an environmental testing lab. Erin has a knack for organization and friendly communication. Outside of work you can find her skiing, snowmobiling, hiking, dirt biking, backpacking, or camping in her 1964 Avon camper, most of which with her beloved poodle, Merlin. Favorite ski run: Hot Cakes

Jocelyn Volkmar

Manager of Guest & Owner Services

Originally from College Station, Texas, Jocelyn moved to Colorado in 2023 and even more recently to Steamboat Springs in the summer of 2025 after falling in love with the scenic views, community focus on being outdoors, and small-town charm. Before joining the Elevated Properties team, she worked as a customer service, administrative, and marketing professional in a variety of industries from local breweries to Big Tech. In her free time, you can find her by the river, learning how to ski, cooking, or working on her newest crochet project. Favorite ski run: Heavenly Daze

Jessica Lackey

Guest Services Manager

Jessica Lackey joined the Elevated Team in August 2021 after moving from Nacogdoches, Texas to Steamboat Springs, Colorado! Jessi is a 2018 graduate of Stephen F. Austin State University in Nacogdoches, Texas, where she earned her Bachelor of Science Degree in Hospitality Administration. Prior to joining the Bear Claw and Edgemont family, Jessi worked as the executive director of Millard’s Crossing Historic Village. She has also worked as an assistant for Main Street and the Communications departments for the City of Nacogdoches and a marketing and public relations specialist for the Fredonia Hotel. In her free time, Jessi enjoys visiting community gardens, farmers markets, river walks and hiking trails with her family—a husband and a 5-year-old Australian Shepherd mix! Additionally, she is passionate about supporting local businesses and community engagement.

Angelica Maldonado

Housekeeping Manager

Angelica immigrated to the United States in 1998 and moved directly to the beautiful town of Steamboat Springs, Colorado! She is the proud mother of three adult children, Manuel Jr., Lola, and Raul Jr. Angelica worked at Chateau Chamonix as a housekeeping manager where she developed her skills in housekeeping. She has now spent 20 years of her life doing this wonderful job. After a short time living in Texas, Angelica and her family moved back to Steamboat and she is back doing what she likes to do — cleaning and helping others to improve their housekeeping skills.

Nate Johnson

Maintenance Supervisor

Nate comes from Craig, Colorado. As a former Marine and union-trained master plumber and journeyman pipe fitter, he brings decades of hands-on experience to the table. He began framing and finishing high-end homes at just 14 and has worked on projects of every scale across the country from nuclear power plants and hospitals to small residential builds. With deep expertise in nearly every aspect of construction, Nate’s knowledge of building systems is second to none. Outside of work, he’s an avid free climber, mountaineer, and wilderness survival expert, often disappearing into the mountains for weeks at a time when he isn’t busy fixing the world.
